Description

Product Overview

Our Tree Banding Tape is a non-toxic, physical crawler barrier ribbon designed to protect fruit trees and orchard crops from trunk-climbing pests without chemical sprays. The high-tack hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive creates an impassable band that intercepts and immobilizes winter moth (Operophtera brumata), cankerworm (Alsophila pometaria), gypsy moth larvae (Lymantria dispar), aphid-farming ants, scale crawlers and codling moth larvae before they reach the canopy. No pesticide residue on fruit, no re-entry interval, and zero risk to pollinators — a cornerstone of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs in orchards, forestry monitoring and landscape tree care.

FAQ

Q1: What pests does Tree Banding Tape control?

It intercepts trunk-climbing pests including winter moth (Operophtera brumata), cankerworm (Alsophila pometaria), gypsy moth larvae (Lymantria dispar), aphid-farming ants, scale crawlers and codling moth larvae before they reach the canopy.

Q2: How long does it stay effective outdoors?

The adhesive maintains active tackiness for up to 90 days outdoors (72 h at 100 W UV lamp with no degradation), in temperatures from -15°C to 60°C. During peak migration, inspect bands weekly and replace every 4-6 weeks when the adhesive becomes saturated.

Q3: Is it safe for organic orchards?

Yes. It is a purely physical barrier – no chemicals touch the tree, fruit or ecosystem, no pesticide residue, no pre-harvest interval, and zero risk to pollinators. Traceability documentation supporting USDA Organic, EU Organic and JAS programs is available.

Q4: How should the band be installed?

Wrap it around a smooth section of trunk 1-1.5 m above ground, remove loose bark and moss first, and ensure at least 5 cm of overlap at the seam. On large trunks, secure the top and bottom edges with non-corrosive staples.

Q5: Can I customize the tape or packaging?

Yes. Full OEM/ODM customization is available: width, length, color, adhesive formulation (standard, high-tack, extended-UV), single- or double-sided coating, with or without release liner, packaging design and private labeling. Trial orders welcome for new distributors; MOQ and lead time on request.
